I know it’s been a while since posting and my apologies to all of you who look forward to a little bit of inspiration from my blog. I usually post some of my art for you to enjoy as you read… please enjoy some photos of Greece for this post ūüôā

Since I have changed my lifestyle a bit, my mental energy seems to have redirected itself towards self-healing and getting my heath in line. I started my exercise and diet program which I can say I am happily sticking to for the most part (Yippie!) However, my weight loss goal is not in sight РLOL!

Although I have yet to reach my goal (12 pounds yet to go) I have really enjoyed walking (almost) every day. I am doing like 4 – 5 miles and that translates to 1 1/4 – 1 1/2 hours of walking. I get to do my prayers while I walk and think about where life is going. I feel really good!

Last week my husband and I were in Greece for two weeks and I maintained my exercise, but shall we say the food there was a bit too tempting so I stuck with healthy choices but indulged in some desserts, cheese and lots and lots of wine! But it was worth it.

My healthy start! Fruit salad in the morning ... But by night I couldn't resist temptation any more! Chocolate souffle cake called ...

The morning walks along the hilly beach path was amazing. Looked for sea glass in the afternoon with my husband on the beaches and my husband worked (a lot) while we were away. I am really blessed to be able to accompany my husband while he has ‘working vacations’. The evenings were filled with fabulous dinners with friends.

Hello ....Will Power - Where did you go?????? Seriously??? Well it's hard to resist when it's right in front of you. I would NOT have ordered this! I promise!!!

I always contemplate how I got here and how amazing my life is. What if I never met ‘the One’ … The special one God had chosen for me? How much different would my life be? But all the time I believed in my heart that he was out there. Years of prayers and devastating disappointments… Did they sculpt me to be stronger? Were they my challenges to test my faith and strength? Lessons I had to learn to grow enough as a person to appreciate the love that I had yet to experience like never before? If I had given up would I eventually still have met my soul mate? I ponder these things, and feel in my heart of hearts, if I did not remain true to myself and have faith through all of my trials, I would never have received the reward I whole heartedly believed in.

We are tested everyday. The decisions you make and the path you choose must be one that is YOUR truth and YOUR belief. Don’t yield to what is easier for the sake of quick resolve. Always stick to what you believe in your heart… it speaks the truth and you will always receive what God intends for you because God is in you speaking to you through your heart. Listen. Act on it. Believe in it. Stay strong and you will finish and win the race. A new challenge always lies around the corner. Envision the end and outcome. Work towards it everyday.

Believe, believe, believe.  I owe my current life, love and lessons to faith.

Thank you God for giving me such divine blessings! I wish to be an inspiration for all those around me, spreading light to where there is darkness and giving hope to the hopeless…. This is what I wish, for anyone who has lost faith or needs a little encouragement.

This is not only a blog, but a group initiative to pray and pass on blessings! Read my first post to find out how you can get involved and be part of this mission to spread joy, blessings and love. Make a difference for YOU and the world:

Enjoy my art! One of my one of a kind belt buckles featuring St Joseph and his prayer.

I find much of my inspiration comes from personal experience. After all, to convey some of my thoughts and ideas I most likely would have had to experience them to get a full understanding and express my thoughts through my own words¬†to get a message to you from what I know and understand to ‘be’.¬†

I have mentioned before that the true undeniable fact of getting spiritually strong takes much practice. I have been praying and meditating for many years now. I am glad I started when I did, but knowing now what strength it has given me in so many areas of my life, I wish I started sooner. To pray, to get more ‘tuned in’ to the universe and God and all things spiritual gives you such a clear sense of what is important, how to proceed and where to turn to get guidance and help.

I was inspired to write about¬†a frightening experience I had back in 2008 on a flight that had to have an emergency landing. We hear about emergency landings all the time. Many are a change in flight plans, something happening on board that causes a reroute like a medical emergency …. not many of them are a full on emergency situations in which the crew is so rattled, they can’t even speak and go through the emergency crash procedures with you. This was the kind of emergency landing I was in.

The cabin phone rang (I was in row 5). The flight attendant picked¬†it up and turned white. Said a few words¬†and hung up the phone trembling uncontrollably. Fumes filled the cabin and the announcements start … The attendants were going up and down the aisle¬†“When we yell brace… Cross your hands in front of you clasping the seat or grab your knees.” In a panicked state the 2¬† attendants walked up and down the aisles repeating this over the course of the event about three times. I’m sure they were on auto drive, in a hyper sensitive state thinking this would never happen¬†… The plane was surprisingly silent, except¬†for a baby crying. It is remarkable to see how people react in extreme situations …. The hollywood version I’m sure would depict screaming and crying… and people demanding to know what is going on. But in real life, all was quite except for the¬†repetition of the emergency drill from the attendants.

I don’t know what passengers were thinking. We were on the way to the Ft Lauderdale airport and had to land in the first airport right inside Florida from Newark. It was a good twenty-five minutes before we touched ground from the initial announcement. As soon as you can see the runway, fire trucks and ambulances lined the path awaiting our arrival. Although, at the time and judging by the panic in the faces of our attendants, we did not think we were going to arrive.

Through this ordeal, I remember as clear as it happened yesterday, I was thinking…’This is not happening. This is not happening today. It’s not the time. I have a future ahead of me and I have kids that I’m going to have and my whole life did not include this in it’s plans.’ I just close my eyes and breathed. People around me were crying silently and I’m sure …. praying. I knew this was not going to happen to me today. I told the woman next to me it is OK all is going to be fine.

Well, we landed and firemen entered the plane then they finally let us off after they checked the plane¬†… no explanation… no direction. They said a bus would be waiting for us to take us to our destination.

Well, I was there for a business trip one day meeting and flying back to NJ¬†that evening… They didn’t even give us the option to board another carrier to finish our flight. Well, that was me and my hostility of this event ….

My point in sharing this with you was during the actual event, I knew in my heart that I had more to do here and my mission was not completed.

I knew my guidance and direction. My purpose and mission were concrete in my soul. If I had not prayed and built my spiritual core up, what would I have clung too at this time of extreme fear?

People¬†were in the terminal crying and on the floor on their knees, punching the wall … this in fact was a very near death experience for many people that lasted almost a half an hour.

I am grateful to the pilots who got us on the ground safely, but for the crew who was aware of the seriousness and could not control their primal fear of the possibility of dying that day, made me feel horrible for those who were not ready for this in their lives.

Are you prepared to face the unknown? You think you have issues on the daily basis. Bills, small health issues, family and friend issues… Are you dealing with an unexpected extreme event? Do you feel helpless… I mean HELPLESS? Being on a plane in the middle of the sky and you’re not driving, that’s prime ‘helpless’ right there sister/brother! If you do feel helpless one day, how will you handle it? I know that my foundation through prayer, faith¬†and believing that my future would be what I had envisioned it to be, was the rock. My belief in God delivering me the blessings that he instilled in my heart through my faith, was my hope that got me through that event.

Since I don’t consider myself a writer, I just supply you with my inspirations… My vocabulary cannot convey the ‘peaceful¬†terror’ of this situation. The fact that¬†a plane that was two-thirds¬†full was quiet and calm cannot illustrate (by hollywood standards) the sheer terror that possessed the passengers this day and perhaps for long after.

Well, that’s my story. Even writing this I got real shook up and started to cry. I was scary indeed. Thankfully I know God and I have faith. So my other everyday issues are a breeze. Nothing is permanent. Solutions exist. Life goes on. My day can be filled with gratitude or complaining¬†about what I don’t have. The choice is mine. I decided that day that I was going to arrive safely. I did.

What do you believe in, what are your convictions? What drives you? What are you passionate about? Who are you grateful to know? What are you grateful for experiencing? These are the things to pray on.

My one of a kind art belt buckle. Please enjoy my art as you are inspired by this post.

I like to pray on the positive. I think it¬†helps to have the positive words echo in the universe. For example, when someone is sick, pray for their health not on the illness. I like to give power to the word ‘heath’ as it is the positive and most optimal outcome you wish for this person not ‘sick’.

It’s a simple little change that allows our prayers and meditation to have a deep profound impact on ourselves as we radiate the blessings outward to others. When we use the positive words in our prayers¬†we feel them all day long. When you think of poor Aunt Edna being sick, you carry with you ‘Aunt Edna being sick’ all day.

When you pray on ‘Optimal health for Aunt Edna’ you carry with you ‘health for Aunt Edna’. Such a small change makes worlds of difference.

These positive words are the pull to the attraction blessings because the words we speak stay in our minds, hearts and spirit. When you recall what you prayed for earlier, you think ‘health for Aunt Edna’ and smile and send out more blessings … it goes on and on a domino of blessings … ripples of positive energy. You feel it inside you that you are hopeful and positive in your thoughts and intentions for her recovery.

You can apply this to your prayers, meditations, etc¬†… Each and every one. This is what is called the law of attraction. I use it in my prayers but my small twist is that I feel if I say, ask for, and give thanks for the positive things, then there is always more because positive energy listens to positive energy.

We are strong when we are positive. Weak when we are negative. ‘Poor me’ is not part of who I am. Don’t be this person. Don’t seek prayer to give you blessings from a needy perspective.

If the universe sees you are weak how can it give you strength? You are weak in spirit and cannot carry to the load of blessings. Find strength for yourself so you can have more and more. You must show you are ready and willing to handle the blessings and not throw them away. God will provide. Show¬†the universe¬†you are worthy. You know you are blessed and can handle more blessing… Bring ’em on!

Give thanks, have gratitude and pray with positive inspiration. I have some examples for you:

Sickness > Pray for benevolence in a most optimal health environment.

Financial > Pray for benevolent blessings of abundance. Pray for opportunities and people to come into your life that will help guide you.

Relationship > Pray for a most benevolent love that creates a soul connection. Happiness, joy and abundance flow out of this relationship that is steadfast and stong.

No matter what the situation is, poverty, unfaithfulness, disease, you will find that praying for what you want to have will guide you to positive blessings.
